Attorney, Licensed in Michigan
Matthew R. Conklin joined Conybeare Law Office in 2009. He is an associate at the firm. Matt handles many types of personal injury cases including, car crashes, dog bites, medical malpractice, and worker’s compensation. He also manages the firm’s technology and operations.
Matt received his law degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy Law School, the same law school his grandfather attended. Matt’s grandfather practiced worker’s compensation law around Detroit for nearly 30 years.
Matt worked his way through school. He had demanding jobs in warehouses, drove delivery trucks, and cut down trees. He knows firsthand the toll hard work can have on a person.
Matt’s interest in personal injury law started during law school when his cousin was killed while working at a golf course. The fall-out of that loss led to Matt devoting his legal career to fighting for injured people or families that lost a loved one.
Matt is a respected litigator. His peers have elected him to three terms on the State Bar of Michigan Workers’ Compensation Section Council. He was elected as the Section Vice Chair for 2022-2023. He also serves on the Michigan Association for Justice Executive Board.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Matt is a member of the YMCA of Greater Michigan board of directors. He is also a licensed private pilot working on an instrument rating.
