Founder Bruce Conybeare Giving Back in Retirement

Bruce Conybeare is Of Counsel/Retired at the firm he founded in 1984, but he hasn’t stopped giving back to the community. Bruce currently serves as the Vice President of the newly formed Benton Harbor Football Boosters.

Bruce graduated from Benton Harbor High School, and in the fall of 1955 he was the varsity quarterback, safety, and punt returner. Last year Benton Harbor Football had a storybook season as former college coach Elliot Uzelac came out of retirement to coach the Tigers to their first ever playoff appearance. The team was even featured on ESPN’s popular 30 for 30 show.

Hoping to continue this momentum and supplement the school’s football budget, Bruce Conybeare and several other Benton Harbor High School alumni and local business leaders stepped up to form the Benton Harbor Football Boosters, a non-profit organization. Their work will help strengthen the football program for years to come and provide vital resources to young men looking to go on to college. Conybeare Law Office is proud of Bruce’s service to his alma mater and our community, and we encourage you to read the following letter from the Benton Harbor Football Boosters.
