Conybeare Injury and Accident Lawyers Attorney Sasha Boersma’s dedication to the Michigan Center for Civic Education’s High School Mock Trial Program was recognized at a recent banquet for the program where she was honored to receive the 2020-2021 Volunteer of the Year award. Sasha has been volunteering as a judge for this program since 2018. During the 2021 virtual competition she judged almost every weekend of the state competition. She looks forward to doing the same for the 2022 competition starting this weekend.
Mock trial helps student learn important knowledge about the law and legal system and it develops critical thinking and speaking skills. Sasha competed in mock trial at Western Michigan University and Valparaiso University School of Law. She’s glad to be volunteering in a program that has provided her so much over the years.
Michigan has the honor of hosting the 2022 National Mock Trial Competition.
