Fighting for the underdog
By John Matuszak – HP Staff Writer
You’d think that a young attorney who had landed a position with one of the largest law firms in the world, representing powerful corporate clients in Chicago, really had it made.
But for Barry Conybeare, something was missing.
“It felt somewhat cold representing big entities,” said Conybeare, a St. Joseph native who returned here first to join his father Bruce’s law firm, and then started his own office. “Now I represent people in our community who are going through tough times in their lives.”
Conybeare’s company – with six attorneys and eight other staff at their Main Street office – specializes in representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases, such as vehicle accidents, medical malpractice and product liability claims, and insurance and disability claims.
