FAQs

Is it really free to get started with Conybeare Law Office?

There is no financial risk to you. If you do not collect any money after we present your case, you do not owe us anything. You will pay our attorney fees only if you receive a recovery. Before you hire us, we will clearly explain our fee structure to you. There will be no surprises.

What should I bring to the free consultation?

Because your case is unique, we will need specific things to help us evaluate and investigate your claim. When you call, we’ll connect you with one of our legal assistants who will let you know what to bring to your first meeting.

The most important thing is to call us. The sooner you tell us what happened, the earlier you’ll know your legal rights.

How do I get started?

Starting your claim is simple, confidential, and completely free.

Call our office or submit a contact form online to schedule a consult. We will discuss what happened, evaluate your injuries or claim (personal injury, auto accident, workers’ comp, or SSD), and determine your legal options. If you have a viable case, we clearly explain the strategy and fee structure. You decide if you want us in your corner.

Once hired, we immediately step in to manage the insurance adjusters, gather medical evidence, and handle legal filings so you can focus on recovery.

What cases do you take?

Our attorneys are experienced in getting fair compensation for thousands of clients in the following areas:

Personal injury
Auto accident injuries
Motorcycle accidents
Truck accidents
Social Security Disability applications and denials
Work injuries and work-related illnesses
Medical malpractice injuries
Dog bite and animal attack injuries
Fire loss and other insurance claims
Fall injuries
Product liability claims
Social security disability
Boating accident injuries
Snowmobile accident injuries

Do I really need an attorney?

Since 1984, our law firm has been protecting the rights of people who have been seriously injured or permanently disabled. We recover millions of dollars in settlements annually for our clients that help make their lives better and our communities safer and healthier.

Our team of trial attorneys are viewed among the top in the state for our expertise and integrity and we know the rules and laws in our practice areas. We can evaluate medical and hospital records, preserve evidence, get valuable expert witnesses and stand up to insurance companies and workplaces when they play games with your rights.

Call us.

How much can I win?

Because your case is unique, we cannot give you a dollar figure.

When we talk, we’ll evaluate your claim. In some circumstances, we can then make an estimate of the amount of compensation you can expect based on our years of experience of representing thousands of personal injury cases.

In most circumstances, we simply need more information to make a reasonable estimate based on your medical needs, liability, insurance coverage, and certain facts.

Annually, we recover millions of dollars in settlements for our clients. Some receive modest sums, and others large sums. But this we can promise — we always fight to get you fair and just compensation.

Who will I work with?

When you call the first time, our receptionist will gather some initial information. Then we will assign one of our legal assistants to work with you to get more details about what happened and your needs. Your legal assistant will be knowledgeable in the area of law that your claim falls in and will be very understanding of the stresses and strains you are facing.

Once we have information about your injury or disability, we will assign an attorney who specializes in your claim to review and evaluate your case. We will then go over your legal options with you. If you have a case, we’ll make sure you know exactly who to contact, who to ask your questions and who to count on.

Call us. We’re ready to help.

Is your firm qualified to take my case?

Since 1984, our law firm has been dedicated to stopping the unfair treatment of injured and disabled people. Over the years, we have attracted attorneys who are recognized for their skills and integrity by Super Lawyers, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Best Lawyers and Leading Lawyers.

Our success in upholding the rights of thousands of clients has helped them recover millions of dollars annually in settlements. Our reputation for doing what’s right and doing so with compassion has gained the community’s trust and helped us grow to be the largest full-service personal injury law firm in Southwest Michigan.

Collectively, our attorneys bring more than 100 years of experience to your case. While you will work primarily with one attorney, you will have access to all our team’s education, knowledge, and skills. Through our connections, you’ll also have access to the doctors, expert witnesse,s and resources needed to solidify your case. Be assured, your case is in the best hands.

Why should I work with a local attorney?

Our law offices are conveniently located on Main St. in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan and W. Main St. in Kalamazoo, Michigan. That makes it easier and quicker for you to reach us from your home or workplace.

If you hire an out-of-town lawyer, you should expect to pay additional costs to cover their long-distance phone calls and mileage to your meetings and trial. Charges you will not incur with us.

Another advantage to choosing a local attorney is that we are aware of expert witnesses and doctors who may be resources in your case. Our attorneys know the insurance adjusters and the opposing lawyers, as well as the tactics they will use to keep you from getting your rights. We are familiar with local law enforcement as well as with the roads, intersections and businesses that may be involved in your case. We also know the judge you’ll face.

Area professionals respect our attorneys’ experience and integrity. They know that if Conybeare Injury Law represent you, there are valid reasons for making your claim. That’s definitely to your advantage.

Do I have an injury case?

You may have a case if you have been:

– Seriously injured or someone you love has died in an accident
– Harmed by a product or someone’s carelessness or negligence
– Denied social security disability or worker’s compensation benefits
– Hurt by a medical error or negligence
– Fired for whistleblowing
– Attacked by an animal

We understand that when you or someone you love has been seriously injured, you want answers and compensation. But because the circumstances that surround your claim are unique, we cannot say whether you have a case until we investigate. We can, however, promise that we’ll look at your situation on an individual basis, weighing all the factors and applicable laws that play into whether or not you should pursue legal action.

For you to get the compensation, you must prove that someone’s negligence or carelessness caused your injury or disability. Our firm does not shy away from tough cases, but we also never take a case without carefully evaluating its validity.
